This event is part of the Library’s Eye on the Count: Census 2020 series. Sonnet Ireland will give a talk on issues of race/ethnicity and gender/sexuality in regards to both past and future censuses. Sonnet Ireland is a reference librarian at the Slidell Branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library. She has presented at numerous state, regional, national, and international conferences, including the Federal Depository Library Conference and the IFLA World Library and Information Congress. Her research interests include government information, social media, Google, and news/media literacy.
