Muslim/Jewish cooperation: the power of interfaith dialogue in conflict transformation. Join the YDS Interfaith Club for this conversation with guests Mohammed Al Samawi and Daniel Pincus. The event will be moderated by Rabbi Jason Rubenstein, Jewish Chaplain at Yale, and Imam Omer Bajwa, Director of Muslim Life at Yale.

Daniel Pincus serves on the boards of American Jewish Committee, Muslim Jewish Advisory Council, Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights, Muslim Jewish Conference, Bet Hatfusot Museum of the Jewish People, International Center for Religion and Diplomacy. He lives in New York City.

Mohammed Al Samawi was born in Yemen. In his mid-twenties, he became involved in interfaith groups promoting dialogue between Muslims, Christians, and Jews. He is the author of The Fox Hunt, a memoir about his introduction to interfaith activism and his harrowing war-time escape from Yemen to the U.S. A major motion picture based on the book is now in production from Fox 2000 Pictures.

Copies of Mohammed’s book will be available for purchase at the event through the Yale Divinity School Bookstore.
