Event description:

Yoga can be a transformational tool for the self, but have you ever considered how yoga can help transform systems of power, privilege, and inequity? Join Michelle C. Johnson - activist, yoga teacher, social worker, and Dismantling Racism trainer - in discussing her book, “Skill in Action: Radicalizing Your Yoga Practice to Create a Just World.” In this session, Johnson will explain how yoga can be a tool for personal and communal liberation - prompting us to be our own agents of change through activism, volunteer work, and reexamining relationships with ourselves and others. All are welcome and you do not have to practice yoga to attend!
