Arts & Ideas + CCAM Present: "Un(re)solved" Augmented-Reality Installation

CCAM is thrilled to be working with the International Festival of Arts & Ideas to present director and immersive artist Tamara Shogaolu’s augmented-reality installation “Un(re)solved” — a collaboration between her studio, Ado Ato Pictures, and FRONTLINE (PBS). You can experience the installation on Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, on the New Haven Green. The “Un(re)solved” installation is part of a multiplatform initiative by FRONTLINE (PBS) that “examin[es] a federal effort to grapple with America’s legacy of racist killings.”

The Yale Women’s Center Presents Our Annual Lecture Featuring Artist and Activist Carole Alden

Alden grew up primarily in the western United States with a year in New Zealand. She is an entirely self taught artist with no formal training. At the age of 46, a career criminal, who preyed upon women for money, insinuated himself into her life and began a campaign of systematic, escalating terror. After 7 months of inept local law enforcement involvement, Ms Alden was forced to defend herself and her children with deadly force. Thirteen years into a fifteen sentence, the Utah state legislature completed a sentencing audit and ordered her immediate release.

18th Annual Yale Bouchet Conference

The Annual Yale Bouchet Conference on Diversity and Graduate Education finds its origins in Yale’s treasured collaboration with Howard University. It draws scholars, administrators, and graduate and undergraduate students from across the nation, as well as members of the New Haven community. Featuring two days of discussions, networking, and other sessions, the conference culminates in the induction ceremony for the Bouchet Graduate Honor Society.
