VIRTUAL: WWN, FLY, & WorkLife Parenting Check-In

Join the next parenting check-in sessions on Wednesday, October 7 and 21 at 1:30 pm via Zoom. The check-ins will serve as an opportunity for Yale community parents to check-in, share tips and tricks and concerns about our new normal of being parent(s), continued work responsibilities, and now the additional responsibility of homeschooling and managing the nuances of having babies and toddlers at home instead of daycare. The conversation will be a safe space for us to positively communicate and learn and grow from each other.

Join us for a conversation about how youth (and youth workers) can improve their mental and physical health.

VIRTUAL: Just Breathe: Resilience Strategies for Today’s Youth & Youth Workers with Jannah Scott

In the first six months of 2020, today’s children and youth have lived through so many soul-provoking experiences. With the advent of COVID-19 illness and death, quarantines, school closures, summers on hold, graphic depictions of violence, the prospect of not going back to school or going back in a socially distanced fashion, and difficult imagery and discussion around issues of race and justice, youth have a lot of questions—and some even have deep concerns and fears.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, please join the Yale Latino Networking Group and Working Women’s Network for a virtual Latin Caribbean dance session that will cover Bachata, Salsa, and Merengue with Alisa Bowens-Mercado from Alisa’s House of Salsa.
