Alán Díaz-Santana ’18 (he/his) is a teaches high school geography in Alamo, TX and is an Executive Board Member, American Federation of Teachers.

“Hyperreal Archives: Digital Presents / Analogue Pasts” is a conversational presentation given by six different scholars and practitioners operating between and among art, architecture, urban studies, and cultural sociology. This discussion is moderated by Yale GSAS alumni fellow, Dr. Denise Lim, and co-led by two academic staff from the University of Johannesburg’s Graduate School of Architecture (UJ GSA)—Sarah de Villiers and Naadira Patel.

The Kurds in the Middle East: Does America Need a New Strategy for Iraq, Syria, and the Kurds?

The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Justice for Kurds, will host a four-part virtual discussion series on “The Kurds in the Middle East.”
Panel discussions will feature an impressive array of American, European, and Middle Eastern practitioners, including senior Kurdish representatives from Iraq and Syria.
