This will be a 90-minute session that will cover the what, why, and how of Inclusive Practices, speak about 5 specific Inclusionary Practices to build a foundation on the topic, and offer breakout rooms to discuss this topic in small groups before having a larger group discussion.

Featuring Clifton Graves (Chicken and the Eagle, The Creation), Joy Donaldson (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Word), and Waltrina Kirkland-Mullins. Dr. Robbie Thomas will also join us for a reading of her children’s book “Mommy, Why Am I Different?”
Join us for a reimagined Open Mic and Poetry Jam celebrating Dr. King through verse and spoken word. Hosted by Ngoma Hill and Croilot Semexan, this year’s event will honor Zanette Lewis who planted the seeds from which this signature program has grown.
The Open Mic will begin at 6pm and be followed by a tribute to Zanette Lewis featuring our hosts and a phenomenal line up of internationally recognized artists, including Taalam Acey, Roger Bonair Agard, Lyvonne Proverbs Briggs, Jessica Care Moore, Aaron Jafferis, and Sunni Patterson.
