The artist Ann Hamilton, M.F.A. 1985, discusses her work with Jenni Sorkin, Ph.D. 2010, Associate Professor in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in a virtual conversation on Zoom. The conversation is one of a series of events in the “Woman/Artist” conference hosted by Yale’s Department of the History of Art. Offered in conjunction with the Yale University Art Gallery’s exhibition On the Basis of Art: 150 Years of Women at Yale and in recognition of the 50th anniversary of coeducation at Yale College and the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first women students to the University. The conference is cosponsored by the Gallery’s Martin A. Ryerson Lectureship Fund, the Yale Center for British Art, and the Whitney Humanities Center.
