The largest celebration of Lunar New Year in Connecticut, Lunarfest kicks off at 10AM with a parade down Whitney Avenue starting at the corner of Whitney and Grove streets and culminating with a traditional lion dance in front of Hong Kong Market.

In the afternoon, there are educational activities, workshops, and performances hosted at the New Haven Museum, the New Haven Free Public Library Ives branch, Neighborhood Music School, Yale Office of International Students & Scholars, Creative Arts Workshop, Affinity Federal Credit Union, and Witch Bitch Thrift. All programs are free and open to the public. Advance registration is required for some programs (see website below for registration links).
