In a rural South Korean town during the late 1980s, two detectives struggle to catch a serial killer preying on women. As their investigation unfolds, the inexperienced local detective Park Doo-man and his aggressive partner Cho resort to questionable tactics, while a more methodical Seoul detective, Seo, joins the case. With mounting pressure and few solid leads, their pursuit grows increasingly desperate, blurring the lines between justice and obsession. As years pass and the case remains unsolved, the haunting reality of their failure lingers, leaving both the detectives and the town forever changed.
