Education research shows that teachers of color have a positive impact on student learning, particularly for the increasing population of students of color in American classrooms. In recent years, Boston Public Schools has pioneered new strategies for recruiting and retaining teachers of color. Join a conversation with Rashaun Martin, Acting Director of Recruitment, Cultivation and Diversity sharing pathways for new teachers as well as structures that have proven successful in retaining BPS teachers, even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
