The Head of Timothy Dwight College, Mary Lui, has announced Two-Time FIFA World Cup Championship Coach Jill Ellis as the Chubb Fellow for Fall 2022 semester. Ms. Ellis was scheduled to serve as the Chubb Fellow in 2020, but the event was postponed when the Yale campus was closed due to COVID-19.
As you may be aware, Jill Ellis is president of the San Diego Wave FC. The Wave has qualified for the NWSL playoffs and will be hosting their first-ever playoff match next weekend on Sunday, October 16th at their home stadium in San Diego. Because Ms. Ellis needs to support the preparation of the front office and the team for their upcoming match, she regrettably will need to reschedule her visit until next calendar year. We are looking forward to honoring Ms. Ellis in the next calendar year when she will be able to travel to New Haven, CT and participate fully in the Chubb events.
