Event description: 

Join us to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision for a more equitable and just future with a display of drawings, photographs, prints, and rare books highlighting the concepts of integrity, justice, peace, and resistance.

Selections from the YCBA’s collection include plates from the books “Jerusalem” and “Songs of Innocence” by William Blake (1757–1827); the utopian novel “News from Nowhere” by William Morris (1834–1896); and, displayed in its entirety, the outstanding “Rivington Place Portfolio” (2007), a series of eight prints by
international artists created to raise funds for Rivington Place, the United Kingdom’s first permanent home for culturally diverse visual arts and photography.
