In this talk, Jennifer Coggins will note some highlights from the library’s extensive collections related to Noah Webster, his life, family, and work. The talk will also preview the library’s annual Dictionary Day event, this year in conjunction with the New Haven Museum and the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society.

ISM Event: The Bread of Angels: Wisdom and Music Behind Bars

Students of “Gospel, Rap, and Social Justice” collaborate with formerly incarcerated men and women to reveal the contemporary relevance of Dante’s journey from “Inferno” to “Paradise” in “The Divine Comedy.” Featuring the Gospel music and rap poetry of BL Shirelle and Debra L. Taylor.
