Please join the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy for a conversation with Christian Nunes, President of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Nunes will discuss the Equal Rights Amendment, coalition building, and her work advocating for immigrant rights and mental health policy. Kaete O’Connell, lecturer and assistant director of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy, will moderate the conversation.
Nunes is a licensed clinical social worker, consultant, and woman-minority business owner. She is the second African American president in NOW’s history, the youngest person of color, and the youngest president in more than 40 years. The founder of a behavioral health and consulting practice, Nunes has more than 20 years of experience advocating for children’s and women’s issues. She is an active community organizer and public speaker, and is regularly featured in media outlets and at events and rallies across the country in support of the Equal Rights Amendment and immigration rights.
This event is open to the Yale Community. Please register in advance.
