Event description:

Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) marks its twelfth anniversary on Thursday, May 18, 2023. To celebrate, Yale’s Digital Accessibility Team is hosting a presentation and trivia with prizes. We will discuss what’s new in WCAG 2.2, why the criteria are important, and how they apply to Yale.
In the meantime, now is a good time to brush up on training. Websites and web applications are integral to the university’s academic and administrative work. Accessibility Training offerings are available, complete with quizzes and ready to watch (https://usability.yale.edu/web-accessibility/training). Whether your role is business analyst, content creator, designer, developer, project manager, or quality assurance, our on-demand accessibility training helps you create a first-rate digital experience on the web for people with disabilities.
Don’t miss our GAAD celebration with Kara Franco and Nick Taylor on Thursday, May 18, 12:00-1:15 p.m., on Zoom. Learn more about GAAD, how to promote accessibility on your team, and play a round of accessibility trivia! Register for this event on Yale TMS.
Yale is committed to making information, programs, and activities on its websites and web applications accessible to people with disabilities. Please join us in improving this effort by participating in the trivia game and attending our GAAD discussion on May 18.
