Mona Bijoor is a partner at King Circle Capital LLC and the founder of JOOR.
While working at companies such as Chanel, Ann Taylor and Elie Tahari, Mona Bijoor saw an opportunity to eliminate many of the inefficiencies in the fashion supply chain and seized upon it. In 2010 she founded JOOR, an online ecosystem that seamlessly connects brands and retailers by unlocking vital data between the two parties — and by 2016, she had grown the company to process over $10 billion in gross merchandise value. Based in New York City, Mona expanded to offices in Los Angeles, London, Paris, Milan, Sydney, and Melbourne, increasing the team to 100 employees worldwide. Clients included Neiman Marcus, Saks, Harrods, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade.
Her recent book, Startups and Downs: The Secrets of Resilient Entrepreneurs, shares wisdom gained from her own experience of disrupting an industry and building a successful company. The book also includes stories from other entrepreneurs, exploring how the best entrepreneurs think about failure and build resilience.
