It can be difficult to explain complex topics to kids. Books are a powerful tool for introducing ideas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to your kids at home or in the classroom. But how to know which books to pick? Join the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI), the Yale affinity groups, and the WorkLife & Childcare Program for a panel and discussion about introducing diversity into your kids’ books on October 24 from noon-1 p.m. Ben Walter, Diversity Support Specialist (ODI), will moderate a panel discussion with April Winkowski, Director Bright Horizons at Yale West Campus; Erica Bradley, Manager of Community Philanthropy Communication Foundation; and Marinda Monfilston, Senior Diversity Coordinator (ODI). Attendees will be eligible for a childrens book raffle! Regisgtration is required. Attdenees will be entered into a raffle for a chlidrens book.
