Storytelling
Experience the enduring power of storytelling by participating in this annual tradition of honoring Dr. King through stories and song. Learn about and engage with his legacy through fables and a captivating program the whole family can enjoy. Featuring Clifton Graves (Chicken and the Eagle, The Creation), Joy Donaldson (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Word), and Waltrina Kirkland-Mullins. Dr. Robbie Thomas will also join us for a reading of her children’s book “Mommy, Why Am I Different?”

Recollection Connections
The Artsucation™ Academy Network presents an international celebration of the past, present, and future legacies of our social justice warriors while looking towards the future with our youth as we connect across Zoom borders and waters to unite for human rights for all during the pandemic and beyond. Featuring New Haven’s Neighborhood Music School’s Premiere Dance Company and Keepers of the Culture Performing Arts Company, and the M’Bosse Dance Company of Senegal. Choreographed and directed by Ms. Hanan Hameen, Doctoral Candidate.
