Join the Yale Alumni Academy and Yale Alumni College for a conversation with women whose parents changed the course of history. Meet Gina Belafonte, Suzanne Kay, Hasna Muhammad, Stacy Lynch, Dominique Sharpton, Ilyasah Shabazz and Keisha Sutton-James; the daughters of civil rights activists Harry and Julie Belafonte, Diahann Carroll, Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, Bill Lynch, Al Sharpton, Malcolm X and the granddaughter of Percy Sutton for a discussion about the history of the African American Civil Rights Movement and arts and activism in today’s times, moderated by Yale Associate Professor of African American Studies, History and American Studies, Crystal Feimster.
