Event description:
Join Yale Alumni Academy for a preview of this fall’s travel program: On The Road to Freedom: Understanding the Civil Rights Movement. We will be showcasing travel to historic sites of struggle in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas including the award-winning new museums, landmarks, and visits with local leaders who participated on the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement. We will be joined for this presentation by Yale Alumni Association Executive Director Weili Cheng ’77; faculty leader Crystal Feimster, Yale Associate Professor, African American Studies, History, and American History; and Lauren Summers, senior director of lifelong Learning and travel at the YAA.
