Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a common childhood psychiatric disorder that affects social communication and may be associated with repetitive behavior, sensory sensitivities, and unusual interests. This presentation will discuss current approaches to assessment, treatment, and educational services for autism with an emphasis on building emotional strengths and resilience in autistic children. Cupcake Bake-Off Competition!

Do you have amazing baking skills? Do people ask you to bring a certain dessert to every event that you go to? Please join the WWN for the first Cupcake Bake-Off Competition and show your talent. To participate you will need to bring in 10-12 cupcakes and the recipe. The judges will taste each one submitted and pick the best one. The winner gets some cool WWN swag and bragging rights in the May Newsletter. So, grab those measuring cups and ingredients.

Hui: A Native Hawaiian Art Exhibition

This exhibition features artwork made by Native Hawaiians from the Yale community (students, alumni, and faculty). Mediums include printing, photography, painting, and poetry. The gallery is located on the third flood of the Native American Cultural Center (26 High Street) and is open to the public. Celebrate the exhibition’s opening at a reception on April 8 from 2-5pm.
