The Kurds in the Middle East: Justice for Kurds

The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Justice for Kurds, will host a four-part virtual discussion series on “The Kurds in the Middle East.”
The conference opening on Tuesday, April 13, at 12:00 p.m. will feature a keynote address from Kurdistan Region President H.E. Nechirvan Barzani. Panel discussions will then include an impressive array of American, European, and Middle Eastern practitioners, including senior Kurdish representatives from Iraq and Syria.

Join the Afro-American Cultural Center and YSC for a screening of the award-winning documentary followed by a discussion with writer/director and former New Haven resident Melissa Haizlip and Yale Professors Thomas Allen Harris and Daphne A. Brooks. The topic will be “Making the Archive Public: Radical History in Public Television.”
