It can be difficult to explain complex topics to kids. Books are a powerful tool for introducing ideas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to your kids at home or in the classroom. But how to know which books to pick? Join the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI), the Yale affinity groups, and the WorkLife & Childcare Program for a panel and discussion about introducing diversity into your kids’ books on October 24 from noon-1 p.m.
The Spring Break Internship is currently planned for the weeks of March 13 - 17 and March 20 - 24. As a reminder, the program is an unpaid mini-internship that brings current students into the workplaces of Yale alumni. The purpose of this program is to provide undergrads with opportunities to explore a potential career path in a more interactive, hands-on way. Moreover, we understand that health and safety concerns are still very much valid and prevalent.
Join us for a night of redefining self care, painting, good eats, and good conversation!
See location via event registration page.

We want our children to live healthy, happy lives with strong connections and a positive sense of self. Conversation is a pathway to developing and sustaining a healthy, trusting relationship with your child and for having a positive impact on how they see themselves.
After this class you will be able to:
- Start conversations that matter
- Define self-esteem
- Recognize the importance of self-esteem for children with Autism and ADHD
- Apply practical strategies to strengthen your child’s self-esteem
Many faith communities still struggle to welcome and weave youth with disabilities into the ministries and relationships that make up the life of their congregation. Yet we are called to be communities without asterisks. Dr. Carter will share a powerful framework for reflecting upon and fostering belonging within youth and other congregational ministries. Together, we will explore the implications of this work on the ways we support youth with disabilities and on the ways we spur our own churches to be more inclusive and welcoming.
If you’re looking to learn some simple steps to becoming clutter free, this is the workshop for you! We will focus on the different types of clutter that can affect your life, both at home and at work. For ZOOM classes the link will be sent to all registered attendees a few days in advance.
An annual tradition that was paused to limit the possibility of spreading COVID in the days before vaccination, the Yale Veterans BBQ is an opportunity for veteran students, staff, faculty, ROTC, alumni, active duty, and allies to gather, enjoy free food and drink, and make connections across schools, classes, and job specialties. This year, catered by Sanctuary Kitchen, and Ricky D’s Rib Shack.
